7 reasons why Australia beat India in world cup final.
7 reasons, Why Australia beat India in the World Cup final?
1. Winners mindset. Pat Cummins even before the match said, we would love to silence the huge Indian crowd with our game. And he did exactly that.
2. Adjusting execution to ground reality. Pat cummins judged the field conditions right and chose to field first
3. Bowling depth. Australia bowled all 10 Indian players vs. India only 3. Shows the quality of planning in bowling to get out each indian player. Zampa, Hazelwood, strac, cummins all played thier part.
4. Team work. Focus on partnerships vs. individual records in batting.
5. Brilliant field setting and fielding. Except for Rohit, not many batters could score boundaries.
6. Depth in batting. Glen maxwell batting at 7 could change the game. And every match produced a new match winner. Head, Warner, Maxwell each of them could win the match single handedly.
7. Lastly, Big match temperament. They rise to the occasion and win knock-out matches. They have done it even in prior tournaments where they started badly and ended up as champions.
1987 1999 2003 2007 2015 and now 2023 - No wonder they are 6 times world champions.
India played very well with an unblemished victory record until the final. Very proud of team Indias attacking batting and bowling. Shami, Siraj, Bumrah, Kuldeep, Jadeja in bowling. And Rohit Virat Gill Shreyas in batting gave the country so much delight.
But the better team on the day, which mattered most, was Australia and they deserved to win. Sadly for India it was a repeat of 2003 where despite being favorites and having the best team in tournament they lost in that one day in final.
Congratulations Team Australia.
